JOIN A SOCIAL TEAM FOR THIS YEAR’S RACE!

Like your Grandmother always used to say, THE MORE THE MERRIER! With that in mind, the Baltimore Running Festival is giving you added incentives to build a SOCIAL TEAM and run as a group.

Reap the Social Team Benefits

Having the support of your friends during your training and race is priceless, but we decided to add an extra incentive! Regardless of when your teammates register, the entire group will get a $10 refund/discount once your team reaches 10 or more members.  (The 10th member, and anyone after that, will automatically receive the discounted price. Members 1-9 will get a refund directly back to the card used to  pay for registration.)  Registrants that do not initially register with their group may not be eligible for refunds or discounts. Social Teams are available for participants in the live race, virtual participants will not be eligible to join groups and will not count towards your runner total.

All groups over 10 will also be entered into a raffle with the chance to win prizes such as Official Baltimore Running Festival Merchandise and discounted entries for next year.

Better Than A Relay Team!

In past years, many groups opted for the team relay to provide a social aspect to racing.  However, with the new Social Teams, you can get the that and more!  Social Teams allow participants to run any distance and still be part of the social team.  So you get to actually run together with your teammates and finish at the same time so you can start your celebration.  You also get the flexibility to allow some team members to run the 5k, and others the 10k or half-marathon or even the full marathon.  Plus you can grow your team as large as you want with all members reaping the benefits.

How Do I Get Involved?

You can create or join a social team during registration. All team members of a social team are linked by their team name and password. The social team program applies to all race distances; so you and your teammates are welcome to all run the same distance, or run different ones as well! Registrants that do not initially register with their group may not be eligible for refunds or discounts.
